This 1967 Porche 912 coupe was converted for SCCA racing over 25 years ago, and it is powered by a 2.0-liter Type 901 flat-six from a 1968 911S mated to a stock four-speed manual transaxle with a limited-slip differential. Other additions include steel fender flares, Fuchs wheels, adjustable sway bars, Bilstein dampers, Wilwood disc brakes, a roll cage, RS-style interior trim, a fuel cell, and a fire suppression system. The car was acquired by its current owner on BaT in September 2020, and its fuel cell and carburetors were subsequently serviced. This modified 912 is offered at no reserve by the seller on behalf of the owner with handwritten correspondence, service records, and a clean California title. Finished at the factory in Golf Blue, the car was repainted to its current black in the 1980s, and it has steel fender flares, cotter pin and T-handle lid closures, Euro taillights, a Walpres bullet mirror, and a fiberglass Rothsport 911R-style rear bumper. Aluminum windshield tabs and rear window safety strips were added for track use along with an external electrical cutoff and a fire-suppression plunger on the cowl. Flaws include chips on the nose and roof and damaged paint on the right-front fender. Forged 15″ Fuchs wheels measure 7″ up front and 8″ in the rear, with Pirelli P6000 tires showing 2019 date codes mounted at all four corners. The ride height has been lowered from stock, while adjustable sway bars and new Bilstein rear shocks were added under previous ownership. Four-piston Wilwood brake calipers have been fitted up front along with a bias controller in the cockpit. The cabin has a roll cage and a plumbed fire suppression system, and its bucket seats have Recaro sliders and older five-point harnesses. The carpeting, rear seats, insulation, and headliner have been removed, and drilled pedals and footrests added. A Momo Prototipo steering wheel frames the canted VDO tachometer, with its 7,400-rpm redline at vertical. The H-pattern gearbox is operated using a short shifter that includes a lockout lever on the reverse gate. The five-digit odometer shows 30k miles, however it is not working, and total mileage is unknown. The seller reports approximately 1k miles driven during current ownership. The front trunk has been modified to accommodate a high-output fuel pump and accumulator, plumbing for two auxiliary oil coolers, an adjustable shock tower brace, a fire suppression bottle, and a fuel cell that was serviced in May 2021. The 2.0-liter flat-six was sourced from a 1968 911S donor. Modifications include updated cam tensioner oil feed lines, tube headers feeding twin megaphone exhaust tips with muffler inserts, and twin Weber 40 IDA carburetors that were serviced after the current owner acquired the car. The oil was changed in preparation for the sale and compression readings from March 2021 are shown in the gallery below. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 901.30 four-speed manual transaxle with a limited-slip differential. Patched sheet metal and welded-in jack pads are noted on the underside.
