This 1969 Dodge Dart Swinger was acquired by the seller in 2024 following a multi-year conversion into a drag car. Power is provided by a 421ci V8 that is equipped with a Custom Cams camshaft, Wiseco pistons, and ported cylinder heads in addition to a Holley carburetor and an Edelbrock intake manifold. Shifting is through a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission, and additional equipment includes an FTI Performance torque converter, a Moser rear end, 4.56 gears, and 35-spline axles. The car is finished in silver and the interior houses a roll cage, a TCI Outlaw shifter, AutoMeter digital readouts, a Grant GT steering wheel, and a single Kirkey racing seat equipped with a cam-lock harness. Weld Racing 15″ wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, and adjustable coilovers are also installed. This Dart Swinger drag car is now offered with a seller-provided build list, spare parts, and a clean Colorado title in the seller’s name. The seller notes that a Glasstek fiberglass 4″ cowl induction hood, trunk, and bumpers are installed and that the car was refinished in its current silver with a black rear bumblebee stripe following bodywork under prior ownership. The taillight bezels were re-chromed and the door handles were replaced. The turn signals and windshield wipers have been removed. A spare hood is included in the sale and pictured on the car in the gallery below. Weld Racing 15″ wheels measure 3.5″ wide up front and 15″ out back and are mounted with 26×4.5″ and 32×14.5″ Hoosier tires, respectively. Suspension incorporates ladder bars with heim joints, a modified front member with tubular components, and AFCO Racing front and Strange Engineering rear double-adjustable coilovers. The four-wheel disc brake system has a Wilwood proportioning valve and a Strange Engineering master cylinder. The refreshed cabin houses a chromoly roll cage and a single Kirkey racing seat trimmed in black cloth and equipped with a Simpson cam-lock harness. The seller notes that the carpets, headliner, and door sills have been replaced and that the door panels and kick panels have been dyed to match the interior. A TCI Outlaw shifter is fitted. The fuel cell and Optima Redtop battery are mounted in the trunk. The Grant GT steering wheel fronts a 120-mph speedometer and auxiliary readouts, while an AutoMeter Cobalt digital tachometer and supplementary readouts are mounted on the dashboard. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 29k miles, and total mileage is unknown. The 421ci V8 was installed under prior ownership and is equipped with a Holley carburetor and an Edelbrock Super Victor intake manifold. The seller notes that the block is filled and that additional components include the following: Compstar H-beam rods ARP bolts Wiseco pistons Ported cylinder heads Harland Sharp roller rockers Howards lifters Custom Cams camshaft JP Performance billet timing set ATI balancer Moroso rear sump oil pan Melling oil pump Electric water pump Griffin radiator APD belt drive system MSD ignition Power is routed to the rear wheels through a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission and a Moser rear end with 4.56 gears and 35-spline axles. A JW Ultra-Bell bell housing, an FTI Performance torque converter, and a transmission brake are also installed. A Digital Delay Mega 450 will accompany the car along with spare hoods, exhaust components, and various parts. The car is not currently registered.
