This 1969 Pontiac Firebird 400 convertible was purchased by the seller in 2016, and the body was resprayed in red in August 2023. It is powered by a 400ci V8 linked with a three-speed automatic transmission, and equipment includes a black convertible soft top, a top boot, a rear wing, power steering, power-assisted front disc brakes, 17″ Rally II-style wheels, a dual exhaust system, black vinyl upholstery, a center console, and an AM/FM radio. This Firebird convertible is now offered with a clean Tennessee title in the seller’s name. The car was refinished in red in August 2023, and exterior details include a black soft top, a top boot, quad round headlights, dual hood scoops, a rear wing, a door-mounted driver-side mirror, 400 badging, and a polished front grille, rear bumper, and trim. The door was repaired prior to its recent respray. Aftermarket 17″ Rally II-style wheels are mounted with 245/45 front and 255/45 rear Nitto NT555 G2 tires. The car is equipped with power steering, and stopping is provided by power-assisted front disc and rear drum brakes. The wheels and tires were reportedly installed in 2023, and the power steering system leaks. The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in black vinyl along with a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Amenities include faux-woodgrain trim, a center console, lap belts, and an AM/FM radio. The air conditioning system does not work. The three-spoke steering wheel wears an aftermarket wrap and frames a 160-mph speedometer and a non-functioning fuel-level gauge. An aftermarket coolant temperature gauge has been mounted below the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 42k miles, approximately 5k of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown. The 400ci V8 was factory equipped with a four-barrel carburetor and was rated at 330 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque. Power is routed to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. A custom dual exhaust system has been fitted. Decoding the trim tag provides the following information: 9-C – Built during the third week of September 69-22367 – 1969 Firebird two-door convertible LOR505137 – Lordstown, Ohio assembly; body number 208 – Black vinyl upholstery 52-B – Matador Red paint, black soft top
