This 1970 Alfa Romeo 1750 Spider Veloce is a late-run Series I example that was built to US-market specification and then delivered new to the UK in June 1970. Its 1.8L twin-cam inline four was later converted from SPICA fuel injection to dual Weber carburetors according to the seller, who acquired the car out of California in 2016. Subsequent work included overhauling the engine along with the five-speed manual transmission, driveline, suspension, and brakes, and the carburetors were serviced in preparation for the sale. Finished in metallic silver over black upholstery, this boat-tail Spider shows 57k miles and is offered with Museo Alfa Romeo correspondence, service records dating to 2012, a car cover, and a clean Oregon title in the seller’s name. The car was finished at the factory in Light Gray Metallic, and the seller believes that it has since been repainted. The convertible top was replaced during previous ownership by Alfa Performance Connection of Orange, California, and the top frame was powder-coated. Lighting repairs were completed in 2018. BWA 14″ wheels are mounted with 185/70 Pirelli P4 tires. Replacement during current ownership of ball joints, control arms, brake calipers, the brake master cylinder, and other components is itemized in records shown at the end of the gallery below.  The bucket seats are trimmed in black and topped with adjustable headrests. A Blaupunkt radio is installed, however the cabin currently does not have speakers. The dashboard was recovered and the carpets were replaced in 2012. A tear in the upholstery is noted on the driver’s seat. A three-spoke steering wheel fronts Jaeger instrumentation. The five-digit odometer shows 57k miles, approximately 5k of which have been added by the seller. The 1.8-liter inline-four’s pistons, cylinder liners, bearings, and valves were replaced under current ownership by Nasko’s imports of Portland, Oregon, which also fitted a replacement water pump, oil pump, and engine mounts. The accelerator pump was then rebuilt when the fuel system was cleaned in the summer of 2018, at which time the intake manifold gasket was replaced. The carburetors were serviced in 2024, and the fuel filter and engine oil were replaced. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission. The clutch assembly and pilot bearing were replaced in February 2014. The synchronizers and reverse fork were replaced during current ownership along with the front flex disc, center carrier bearing, rear U-joint, and rear axles. Correspondence with Museo Alfa Romeo that accompanies the car lists production and delivery dates along with factory colors and a market destination of London, UK.
