The mobile 442 is a well-known classic muscle car, but the W30 trim level is not as well-known gem. It was a factory ordered balanced & blue printed engine with an optional automatic transmission that also had a specially designed valve body and torque converter designed for the drag strip. The red inner fender wells gave away the hidden quality combination of a special 375+ hp engine, a transmission built to race and many options to lightened up the car for maximum performance, The plastic inner fender wells, carpet pad delete, fiberglass hood with functional ram air, and the option of an aluminum possie traction differential gave it an edge at the strip. This particular car was also ordered with a special-order rare color combination. The yellow car with black racing stripes was known at the drag strip as a (yellow jacket) and known to sting its competitors! The car is in great condition with enough wear on its older restoration that the paint looks like original paint. A plus at the car shows. It has a period correct 455 engine and a transmission that has theorigional OW tag, and the vin # stamped into the case of the transmission matching the vin tag, proofing it to be a true W-30 car. I have plenty of pictures to send anyone interested in this car but I am unable to add to this post or Email. I can however text them to anyone serios about the car. I also have a car cover, a car show poster (for showing at a car show) and multiple restoration books and parts/ repair manuals.
