This 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme convertible is said to have been refurbished in 2017 before it was acquired by the current owner in Ohio four years ago. Work reportedly consisted of refinishing the car in blue with white stripes, replacing the white convertible top, reupholstering the interior in Parchment vinyl, and rebuilding the overbored 455ci V8 along with installing an MSD ignition system, a Hughes 2,500-rpm stall converter for the TH400 three-speed automatic transmission, and a 3.42:1 ring and pinion set for the Positraction differential. Additional equipment includes a W-30-style hood, a rear wing, a white top boot cover, and 15″ Super Stock I-style wheels in addition to air conditioning, aftermarket gauges, and a Kenwood CD/Bluetooth stereo. This Cutlass convertible is now offered on dealer consignment with a clean Ohio title. The car was refinished in its current shade of blue with white stripes during the refurbishment, and the white soft top is said to have also been replaced at that time. Additional exterior details include quad headlamps, a rear wing, W-30 and 442 badges, and a W-30-style hood with air intake ducts as well as a white top boot cover, replacement mirrors, bright wheel arch moldings, and dual exhaust outlets. Chrome 15″ Super Stock I-style wheels with black inserts are wrapped in 225/70 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires with raised white lettering. Braking is from power-assisted front discs and rear drums. The rear shocks were reportedly replaced during the refurbishment. The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench retrimmed in Parchment vinyl along with color-coordinated upper door panels. Lap belts are fitted for all occupants, and additional appointments include a center console storage compartment, air conditioning, woodgrain interior accents, blue carpets protected by 442-branded floor mats, and a Kenwood CD/Bluetooth stereo. The cruise control is inoperable. Instrumentation framed by the Custom-Sport steering wheel includes a 120-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer with an inset analog clock, and a combination gauge with readouts for fuel level, oil pressure, and engine temperature. Aftermarket gauges for water temperature and oil pressure are mounted under the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 6k miles, approximately 1k of which have been added by the current owner. Total mileage is unknown. The 455ci V8 is said to have been bored 0.040” over and rebuilt with pistons utilizing a 10:1 compression ratio during the 2017 refurbishment. A W-30-specification air cleaner assembly, a Quadrajet carburetor, an aluminum intake manifold, and an MSD ignition system are installed. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission that is reportedly fitted with a Hughes 2,500-rpm stall converter. The Positraction rear axle is said to be equipped with a 3.42:1 ring and pinion set and wears an aluminum cover. An appraisal report included in the sale lists the car as a Cutlass 442 W-30 clone.
