This 1971 Alfa Romeo Giulia 1300 Super was reportedly sold new in Milan, Italy, and imported to the Netherlands in 1987. The car is said to have been modified by Dutch tuning company Arese Classico in the early 1990s and fitted with a 2.0-liter inline-four equipped with upgraded pistons, higher-lift camshafts, and an upgraded cylinder head. Shifting is through a five-speed manual transmission and limited-slip differential, and the car is finished in white over a reupholstered red vinyl interior. The car was recently acquired by the seller, and subsequent work has included overhauls of the transmission, differential, and brakes as well as the installation of Koni and Bilstein shock absorbers and replacement front seats. This modified Giulia is being offered in Amsterdam, Netherlands, with Dutch registration. The car is said to have undergone a repaint in its current shade of white in the early 1990s. The bumpers have been removed and are included in the sale, and features consist of a chrome driver-side mirror along with Quadrifoglio decals on both front fenders. The silver-painted 6×15” Autoparco TZ wheels are mounted with 175/70 Avon ZR6 tires. The brakes are said to have been overhauled under current ownership, and additional work reportedly included a brake fluid flush and the installation of replacement front discs and Ferodo brake pads. A full-size spare tire is located in the trunk, and suspension modifications include the following: Bilstein and Koni shock absorbers in the front and rear respectively Arese lowering springs Arese front sway bar Upgraded rubber suspension bushings Adjustable front camber arms 2000-series front hubs The cabin is trimmed in red vinyl and was reportedly reupholstered in the early 1990s. The front seats are said to have been replaced under current ownership, and amenities include a Philips cassette stereo, opening front ¾ vent windows, and shoulder belts for the front occupants. The black leather-wrapped three-spoke Nardi steering wheel sits ahead of a faux-woodgrain dashboard housing a 7k-rpm tachometer with an inset coolant temperature gauge as well as a 200-km/h speedometer with an inset oil pressure display. The five-digit odometer shows just over 10k kilometers (~6k miles), approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown. The 2.0L twin-cam inline-four was reportedly sourced from a 1971 Alfa Romeo 2000 Berlina and installed by Arese Classico in the early 1990s. Modifications performed by Arese prior to the engine’s installation consisted of an overhauled cylinder head, a balanced crankshaft, machined connecting rods, and the addition of electronic ignition, an electric fuel pump, dual two-barrel Weber carburetors, higher-lift Alquati camshafts, forged high-compression pistons, and a Racimex alloy oil cooler. Maintenance performed under current ownership reportedly included valve, ignition, and carburetor adjustments along with the installation of a replacement Bosch distributor cap and rotor, spark plugs and wires, thermostat, fuel sending unit, and coolant hoses. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and limited-slip differential, both of which were rebuilt under current ownership. Items installed at that time included are said to have included replacement synchro rings, a balanced driveshaft, a hydraulic brake switch, a clutch, and a clutch slave cylinder. A SORAM GTA-style exhaust system was installed by Arese during the initial upgrades. A number of photos from the recent transmission rebuild can be seen in the gallery.
