This 1973 Porsche 914 was acquired by the seller in 2021 and subsequently underwent a year-long refurbishment that consisted of repainting the exterior in blue, reupholstering the interior in blue plaid, and rebuilding the 2.0-liter flat-four, which is said to be equipped with flat-top European-spec pistons, 96mm Biral cast-iron cylinders, and ported cylinder heads. A replacement clutch for the five-speed manual transmission was also reportedly installed during the refurbishment, and the car is further equipped with a removable Targa top, 16″ Maxilite Fuchs-style wheels mounted to five-lug hubs, Bilstein dampers, PMB Performance brake calipers, a MOMO Prototipo steering wheel, and a retro-look digital stereo. This 914 is now offered with build records and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name. Per the seller, the car’s windshield, weatherstripping, rubber seals, polished bumper trim, and black removable Targa top were replaced in conjunction with a repaint in Etna Blue during the aforementioned refurbishment. Pop-up headlights, fog lights, and dual side mirrors are additional exterior details. Maxilite 16″ Fuchs-style wheels with matte black centers are secured to five-lug hubs via titanium nuts, and 205/50 Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires are fitted at each corner. The car rides on Bilstein dampers while stopping power is provided by four-wheel discs with gold-finished PMB Performance calipers. The two-way adjustable bucket seats and door panels were reupholstered in blue plaid by Auto Atlanta according to the seller, who notes that the dashboard and center console were replaced during the refurbishment. Appointments include a retro-look digital stereo, wind-up windows, and three-point seatbelts. The battery has been relocated to the trunk. A leather-wrapped MOMO Prototipo steering wheel with white stitching frames VDO instrumentation including a central tachometer, a 150-mph speedometer, and a fuel level gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 19k miles, approximately 500 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown. The mid-mounted 2.0L flat-four is said to have been modified during the refurbishment with a counter-balanced crankshaft, flat-top European-spec pistons, 96mm Biral cast-iron cylinders, and ported cylinder heads with oversized valves. Dual Weber carburetors have also been added. Per the seller, a replacement clutch pressure plate and throwout bearing for the five-speed manual transaxle were added during the refurbishment. An aftermarket exhaust system is also installed. Photos documenting the repaint are provided in the gallery below.
