In 1 911 coupe that was sold new at k s Porsche/ di in , New Jersey on February 23, 1974. Second owner had it from 1976 until 2023 or approximately 47 years until I finally talked him into selling. It was simply a case of not bring driven often enough anymore which is unfortunately a reason heard far too often in the classic car world.
The car was delivered new in Sahara Beige over russet leatherette and the new owner (in 1976) was not at all enamored with this paint color and immediately went about looking into changing it. nt was done by Ralph ” t” wley – owner of Coach Craft in sville, .
Finally the car is an original numbers matching 2.7 with approximately 86,000 miles and just this week came out of the shop after a fairly extensive service.and is performing beautifully. the years there was thousands of dollars spent on sourcing NOS parts directly from Otto Glockler and Georg Rittersbacher by the owner as he regularly flew into many as a commercial pilot…the list is mind boggling. To say that he was obsessive would be a huge understatement.
This is a sunroof coupe delivered with 5 Speed smission, Forged y Wheels, 911S instruments, Tinted Glass, ther red Sport Steering Wheel, Air Conditioning and Electric Sunroof. The AC was completely removed brfore ever being being painted. The body is completely accident and rust free and the paint is truly magnificent still.
