This 1974 Triumph TR6 was cosmetically and mechanically refurbished in 2021 and acquired by the seller on BaT in August 2022. Refurbishment work included refinishing the body in metallic green, replacing the tan soft top and boot cover, re-trimming the cabin in beige vinyl, and overhauling the 2.5-liter inline-six. Additional equipment includes a four-speed manual transmission, an overdrive unit, chrome 15″ wire-spoke wheels, a luggage rack, dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors, a stainless-steel dual exhaust system, and a digital stereo linked to Rockford Fosgate speakers. This TR6 is now offered with a BMIHT certificate, an owner’s handbook, a workshop manual, and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name. The body was removed from the frame, stripped, and refinished in metallic green during the refurbishment. Details include a tan canvas soft top, a snap-on boot cover, replacement stainless-steel bumpers, dual side mirrors, a trunk-mounted luggage rack, and Union Jack decals. Additional refurbishment work reportedly included reinforcing the frame near the front cross member, shock towers, and differential mounts. Chrome-finished 15″ Motor Wheel Service 72-spoke wire wheels are mounted with 205/70 Yokohama Avid Ascend tires, and a matching spare is stowed in the trunk. Braking is provided by power-assisted front discs and rear drums, and modifications include cross-drilled and slotted front rotors, EBC Green Stuff brake pads, an adjustable trailing arm kit, and greaseable front trunnions. The steering rack, rear springs, and braking components are said to have been replaced during the refurbishment. The cabin was reupholstered in beige vinyl during the refurbishment, at which point sound-deadening material was applied to the bulkhead, doors, floors, and trunk. Interior appointments include a wood veneer dashboard, a digital stereo, a locking glovebox, a wood shift knob, high-back bucket seats, and Rockford Fosgate speakers. The wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts a Smiths 140-mph speedometer and a tachometer, while gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, amperage, and fuel level are mounted in the center of the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 1,700 miles, approximately 900 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown. The 2.5-liter inline-six was reportedly overhauled and bored 0.020″ over during the refurbishment. Equipment includes dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors, a Phoenix stainless-steel exhaust system, and open-element air cleaners. Additional refurbishment work is said to have included replacing the following components: Connecting rods, pistons and rings, and bearings Valves, guides, springs, and valve stem seals Oil pump Damper assembly Timing chain and gears Fuel pump and lines Alternator, starter, and ignition coil Spark plugs and wires Radiator, water pump, and thermostat Wiring harness, fusebox, and relays Power is routed to the rear wheels through a replacement four-speed manual transmission with a J-Type overdrive. Refurbishment work performed under prior ownership reportedly included replacing the transmission bearings and seals, clutch components, and U-joints as well as balancing the driveshaft and machining the flywheel. The British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate lists production information, serial numbers, and a build date of June 17, 1974.
