All service was done by trained Porsche mechanics specializing in air cooled beauty’s like this one.

Modification Rationale
The engine and transmission in this car was rebuilt and modified so that it could be driven in high altitude areas without overheating. the years the car was well maintained by all of its owners. wever, the wear on the engine prior to the rebuild indicated that perhaps the odometer is not representative of the actual mileage.
The car received damage when the previous owner hit some construction debris on the highway. It is documented that during the repairs the paint was blended to match the original color. The blending was noticeable and compromised the quality of the appearance of the car. Therefore approximately twelve years ago all paint was completely stripped. The paint was restored with a superior quality paint and an expert paint application resulting in a better coating than the original car from the factory. There are currently three very minimal scratches in the paint. ng this process the doors and front fenders were removed and the extent of the aforementioned damage was assessed. There was very little damage and no rust found anywhere on the car. There are dents; some in the floor pan, a notable one just in front of the passenger side sway bar mount, a small spot of filler on the drivers side front fender just behind the bumper compression mount, and one other spot of filler under and on the edge of the drivers side rear stone guard. After the dry ice blasting of the wheel wells, a welded seam on the rear driver’s fender can be found and the brake caliper on the same side is year stamped from a later model.
The Interior of the car was changed in 1984. Originally the car interior was sky blue. The door coverings were removed and the later 930 door panels with the hatch folding lid pockets were installed. ing the build records it appears that the “ ” emblem surrounding the body was not installed on this car. This car was also delivered with lop tires. The radio/cassette player dictation recorders were removed at about this same time. Other detail pictures and videos are available upon private request.
