1978 Volkswagen Bay-Window Camper Brown

This 1978 Volkswagen Type 2 is a Westfalia pop-top , Champagne Edition II examples that were produced for the 1978 model year.Work included performing rust repairs and repainting the body in Pastel White and Agate Brown, while the interior was reupholstered, the pop-top material was replaced, and the cabinets were repaired. Additional work included replacing the tires, refreshing the suspension and brake systems, and rebuilding the air-cooled 1,970cc flat-four. Equipment includes a four-speed manual transaxle, 14″ steel wheels, front disc brakes, an analog clock, a Sapphire XXI 8-track player, jalousie windows, a folding rear bench, a sleeping loft, privacy curtains, a refrigerator, a sink, a two-burner stovetop, an awning, and a receiver hitch. This Type 2 Westfalia is now offered manufacturer’s literature, repair manuals, service records, and a Florida title in the seller’s name. The bus left the factory finished in Pastel White (L90D) and Agate Brown (L86Z) and received a repaint in September 2020. At that time the window seals were exchanged and rust repairs were performed around the passenger taillight and battery tray. Exterior elements include a rear-hinged Westfalia pop-up roof, jalousie windows, a water inlet, a shore-power connection, a receiver hitch, and an Ironman 4×4 awning.
