This 1979 Cadillac Eldorado is a St. Moritz convertible that was modified with a shortened wheelbase and body and frame reinforcements. Finished in metallic blue over tufted white leather with blue sheepskin carpets, the car is powered by a fuel-injected 350ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a power-operated soft top, chrome 15″ Truespoke wire wheels, cruise control, automatic headlights, power-adjustable seats, power windows and door locks, and automatic climate control. The car was listed previously on BaT in March 2020 and acquired by the selling dealer in 2024. Subsequent work consisted of replacing the bumper fillers and refreshing the undercarriage and the rear of the car. This Eldorado is offered with showroom signage, two keys, owner’s and service manuals, and a clean California title in the seller’s name. The car is finished in metallic blue with white pinstripes and features a power-operated blue soft top. Details include automatic headlights, cornering lights, a chrome grille and bumpers, bright rocker trim, remote-adjustable mirrors, and a concealed fuel filler. Work since 2024 is said to consist of performing paint correction, replacing the bumper fillers, and refreshing the rear of the car. Chrome 15″ Truespoke wire wheels are mounted with Bridgestone Insignia SE tires showing 2009 date codes. The car rides on a four-wheel independent suspension and stopping power is provided by power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes. The front bucket seats and rear bench are trimmed in tufted white leather joined by cobalt blue sheepskin carpets and light blue floor mats along with woodgrain paneling on the dashboard and door panels. Amenities consist of power-adjustable seats, automatic climate control, an AM/FM cassette stereo, and cruise control as well as power locks, windows, and mirrors. The two-spoke steering wheel is mounted to a tilting column and frames an 85-mph speedometer and a fuel level gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 3,200 miles. The fuel-injected 350ci was factory rated at 170 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. An oil change was performed in preparation for the sale. Power is sent to the front wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. The wheelbase has been shortened by nine inches and the frame and body are said to have been fitted with steel reinforcements. The car is supplied with a display board along with owner’s and service manuals.
