1980 Volkswagen Vanagon

This 1980 Volkswagen Vanagon Westfalia is finished in Assuan Brown over a tan interior and is powered by a replacement air-cooled 2.0L flat-four paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. The van is said to have been sold new in California in 1980 and was acquired by the selling dealer in late 2021. The engine was overhauled in May 2020, and service in preparation for the sale is said to have included replacing the spark plugs and leads, the ignition coil, rotor arm, distributor cap, head temperature sensor, fuel pressure regulator, and vacuum pipes. This Vanagon Westfalia shows 105k miles and is offered at no reserve with service records, accessories, and a clean California title. The body is finished in Assuan Brown (LH8B) with a white fiberglass Westfalia camper top that is shown raised and lowered. Dents in the sliding door and side panel were removed and refinished, and the front nose panel was also said to have been refinished. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums that were reportedly serviced in 2020. The swiveling front bucket seats are trimmed in tan cloth with vinyl trim, and the interior features a brown dashboard and replacement Sewfine carpets. Amenities include a heater, floor mats, aftermarket LED interior lighting, and a Blaupunkt AM/FM CD stereo. VDO instrumentation consists of an 85-mph speedometer and an analog clock with an integrated fuel gauge. The six-digit odometer shows 105k miles, a handful of which have been added by the selling dealer. The rear compartment features a bench that folds into a bed, a loft bed above the rear bench, privacy curtains for the side and rear windows, and a removable rear bug screen.
