1984 Renault R5 Turbo

This 1984 Renault R5 Turbo 2 is powered by a mid-mounted, turbocharged 1.4-liter inline-four paired to a 5-speed manual transaxle. Believed to have been sold new in France, the car was imported to Belgium by a previous owner in 2008. The seller purchased it in 2014 and has driven it approximately 200 kilometers during his ownership. Though records only document 2008 to the present, invoices show a €5k refresh of the engine and transaxle by the previous owner. Another former owner commissioned a repaint in the factory color, while the seller has had new spark plugs installed and an oil change performed during his ownership. The car is located in Waregem, Belgium. A repaint was reportedly conducted by a previous owner in the correct Nacre pearl white. Newer leather seat upholstery is shown in the provided photographs, with good surfacing visible and some minor wear along the side bolsters. Limited spotting is visible in the pile carpets and the rear luggage area shows wear on the trim. Paired to a 5-speed manual transaxle, the turbocharged 1.4 liter Cléon-Fonte inline-four produced 158 hp and 163 lb-ft when new. Service history dates back to 2008 and is said to include invoices totaling €5K towards the refresh of the engine and transaxle by the previous owner, with the seller performing an oil and spark plug change within the last 200 km (~124 miles).
