1985 Citroen 2CV

A highly original 2CV Club in excellent, rust free condition in the color Bleu des Tropiques.  The car was first registered in of 1985.  It was actively used by the first owner during the first few years.  Just three years later, in 1988 it was sold to the second (and last) owner.  A 2CV enthusiast who used it sparingly.  ng all these years the car was well looked after and stored indoors.  The yearly service was faithfully performed, and regular attention was given to the anti-rust treatment.  h externally on the chassis, and inside the body cavities as well.  a result, the floor boards, door sills and lower firewall are in excellent shape!  Please take a look at the pictures of the chassis.  It is perfectly straight and rust free; like new!  After many happy years of ownership, the owner is now moving into an apartment without a garage, and with regret decided to sell.  The odometer reads 93’000 km. This reading is correct.  That is just 58’000 miles from new!

Prior to shipping the the US the car received a major service.  rt from the usual engine and transmission service, she received new king pins, drive shaft boots, a new exhaust system front to rear, a new starter motor and fuel pump, coil, spark plugs, and voltage regulator.  New tires were mounted.  She passed the strict Dutch mandatory safety inspection with flying colors.  This late model 2CVs is equipped with inboard disc brakes on the front and drum brakes on the rear.  The engine has a double barrel carburetor and an electronic ignition system.  She has plenty of power to keep up with modern traffic in the city, and will drive along happily all day long at 65 mph on the highway.  These late model 2CVs are famously reliable, and if you’d need anything parts are readily available and inexpensive.  The original Dutch, as well as an language owner’s manual are included.

This is a very pretty 2CV.  Everything works as it should and she starts at the first turn of the key.  She is a sweet runner, and accelerates, brakes and steers like a healthy 2CV should.   This Deux Chevaux is ready to hit the road!  Please klick on the link below to see a video of starting and driving the car.
