Description
This is a NEAR ORIGINAL/100% stock 1986 mobile lass n 442 in beautiful condition. A well maintained survivor. Currently at 45,600 unconfirmed miles. 1 of 4,273 lass n models with the W42 442 package. Original drivetrain—5.0 er 307 4-bbl V-8 and MW9 (200-4R) 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. The transmission and rear-end have recently been serviced. New Catalytic Converter and Flow 4-in und lers.
I believe it has been repainted, but looks factory. It sits on its original mobile Rallye wheels and a new set of 15” B.F. Radial T/ . New set of ro-matic shocks installed.
The interior is all original and in beautiful condition. It’s sporting the original grey/blue soft velour and vinyl surfaces. No rips, tears or holes. Small updates include a custom leather wrapped steering wheel, widow crank plates, door sills and door seal weatherstripping. All the gauges are functional. Power antenna is functional. Radio is original and functional—cassette deck is not. Heater and AC works well however, AC does not currently blow cold. New heater valve and heater core installed. New 36-month Interstate battery.
I have all the original manuals. It also comes with its original spare tire and jack. I’ve always garaged this car and sale includes a new and fitted indoor/outdoor car cover.
good condition as it’s in, it isn’t without flaws—however. e control currently not functioning. The wiper motor moves slowly. The car does leak a little oil as well.
This 442 is a great example of these GM G-body cars from the 1980’s and is a stand-out at car shows. I believe I am the 4th owner. I drive it regularly but not often—it’s a great little cruiser.
