This 1987 Porsche 911 Carrera cabriolet was purchased in 2009 by the current owner, who has since added approximately 13k of the 89k miles it now shows. The car is powered by a 3.2-liter flat-six paired with a G50 five-speed manual transaxle and is finished in red over black leather. Equipment includes 16″ Fuchs wheels, a black convertible top, a rear spoiler, power windows, central locking, and air conditioning. This Carrera cabriolet is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with the owner’s manual, service records, local car show records, a factory tool roll, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Virginia title. The car is finished in Guards Red and features a replacement power-retractable black soft top, a convertible top boot, a rear spoiler, integrated fog lights, and power-adjustable side mirrors. The hood and front cowl are said to have been repainted under current ownership, and the front fenders, passenger door, and rocker panels are also believed to have been previously refinished. Noted exterior blemishes include a ding in the passenger door and a scratch on each front fender. The 16″ Fuchs wheels wear staggered-width Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires that were mounted in May 2022. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs. Servicing in October 2022 included rebuilding the front brake calipers and replacing the front brake pads, fluid, and lines. The cabin features seating surfaces upholstered in black leather with contrasting Linen carpets and lower door panels. Coco floor mats line the footwells, and additional amenities include a power-adjustable driver’s seat, air conditioning, power windows and locks, and a JVC CD stereo. An aftermarket Clifford radar detection system has been added, and the seller notes that the key to arm the factory alarm system is missing. Wear on the driver’s seat upholstery is shown up close in the image gallery below. The leather-wrapped four-spoke steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a central tachometer with a 6,300-rpm redline as well as a 170-mph speedometer, a Quarz-Zeit clock, and auxiliary gauges. The six-digit odometer shows 89k miles, approximately 13k of which were added under current ownership. The 3.2-liter M930/25 flat-six features Bosch Motronic engine management and was factory rated at 217 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. Service records indicate that the cylinder heads were rebuilt in 2007, at which time the piston rings and timing chains were replaced. Work at Autobahn Service Inc. of Fairfax, Virginia, in October 2022 included a valve adjustment as well as replacing the spark plugs and accessory belts. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a G50 five-speed manual transaxle. The clutch hydraulic fluid was flushed in October 2022. Decoding the option sticker reveals the following information: L80K – Guards Red paint LT – Black leather upholstery C02 – Equipped with catalytic converter 070 – Tonneau cover 158 – Cassette-radio Blaupunkt Reno SQR 46 341 – Central locking system 439 – Electric soft top 533 – Alarm Service records are included in the sale. The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists registration history in New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, and Virginia.
