1989 BMW E30 3-Series Convertible

This 1989 BMW 325i convertible was purchased new by Ann Wilson, lead singer of the band Heart, and it was subsequently modified by L.A. East Performance of Hackensack, New Jersey with a Flossmann Auto Design widebody kit. The 2.5-liter inline-six was also fitted with an IHI turbocharger, and additional modifications include staggered-width 15″ BBS wheels, aftermarket suspension components, custom tan and black upholstery, and an aftermarket CD stereo system. The car is finished in black and also equipped with a five-speed manual transmission, a limited-slip differential, heated front sport seats, a black soft top, fog lights, and air conditioning. Now showing 12k miles, this E30 convertible was acquired by the current owner in 2023 and is offered in Arizona on dealer consignment at no reserve with the owner’s manual, original correspondence, Heart memorabilia and LPs, a car cover, a tool kit, and a clean California title. The car is finished in black and was fitted with a Flossmann Auto Design widebody kit, which incorporates wider fenders, side skirts, revised bumper covers, and a decklid with an integrated lip spoiler as well as a rear wing. Additional equipment includes a black soft top, fog lights, painted mirror caps, and a power antenna. Various scratches and imperfections are shown in the photo gallery. The 15″ BBS RS wheels measure 9″ in width up front and 11″ wide out back, and they are mounted with older Yokohama tires sized 225/50 and 285/40 respectively. The car is equipped with an independent suspension and power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes with vented front rotors. Bilstein rear shocks and aftermarket springs have been installed, along with other upgraded suspension components. Curb rash on the wheels is visible in the gallery. The cabin features heated front sport seats and a rear bench that have been reupholstered in tan and black with black piping. Matching upholstery extends to the door panels, and interior amenities include air conditioning, cruise control, an onboard computer, an aftermarket CD stereo, and power windows, locks, and side mirrors. The tan-and-black three-spoke steering wheel fronts instrumentation with yellow dials including a 150-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer as well as gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. An aftermarket three-gauge pod has been added ahead of the shifter. The six-digit odometer shows 12k miles. The 2.5-liter M20 inline-six features Bosch fuel injection and has been fitted with an IHI turbocharger and an aftermarket exhaust system. The battery was replaced and the fuel tank serviced in 2022. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a factory-optional limited-slip differential. The Carfax report is free of accidents and other damage. There are gaps in entries between 2003 and 2022. The California title lists a “Title Only” notation.
