1989 Citroen 2CV

A near mint condition, highly original 2CV Special in the color e (AC060 – EAA).  This beautiful 2CV rolled of the assembly line on July 19, 1989.  When new it was sold by “ ge Gogostiague” in , undy.  There it was used sparingly, and judging by the superb condition, garaged indoors and well looked after.  By 2015 the odometer had reached a mere 59’399 kilometers, or just 37’000 miles.  At that point she was discovered and purchased by lland’s most beautiful museum, the win Groen “ ndenmuseum”.   ng the following 8 years barely 600 more kilometers were added, and the odometer now reads just 59’986 km.  The tires were replaced with new Michelins not long ago, and because the foam had aged, the seat upholstery was replaced with the original cloth material: e – Beige.  Common sense maintenance was recently done: The engine was given a major service, all the fluids were changed, a 123 ion was installed, and the oil filler / breather unit was replaced.  A new muffler was installed.

The paint work is all original, and in near perfect condition.  There is no rust anywhere in the vehicle, the chassis is laser straight and like new.  Floor boards, firewall, doorsills, are all like new.  The spare tire, jack and handle, the wooden block and the winter muff are in the trunk.  The car has excellent provenance.  The original Citroen owner’s manual, service booklet, dealer booklet etc. come with the car.  Copies of the original title, factory certificate of origin, and service records are present.  In addition, there is a set of documents from the Citroen Conservatoire, AKA “Citroen Heritage”, that attest to the originality of the vehicle.

This cheerful and handsome 2CV drives like new.  The engine runs smoothly and starts at the first touch of the key.  The transmission works great.  She will return great fuel mileage and is a lot of fun to drive.  These late model 2CVs have plenty of power to keep up with modern traffic in the city, and will drive along happily all day long at 65 mph on the highway.  They are famously reliable, and if you’d need anything parts are readily available and inexpensive.  An language owner’s manual is included.
