This 1990 Lancia Lancia Delta Integrale has been rallied in Europe and is a tribute to the iconic Evo Group A Martini Racing Team WRC cars that won the 1000 lakes rally in 1992 with driver Didier Auriol. The current private seller has owned the car for nine years. He purchased it from a racer in Venice, Italy and has EPA importation documents in his name. The build includes many period competition parts and was completed by Alves Corse in Turin, Italy who was involved with Abarth rally in period. The seller says that the car is serviced and ready for racing other than harnesses and tires. Extensive spares included are listed below and the car is located in Virginia Beach, Virginia. For the 1992 WRC season management was assigned to Martini Racing to whom the Lancia Team had entrusted the entire racing department. The official participation of Lancia to competitive rally ended that season. Despite the presence of new competitors that seemed to jeopardize the participation and the results of Lancia, the legendary Delta confirmed its leadership winning 8 out of the 14 races, thus setting a record of 6 WRC constructors victories 1987-1992, a record that is still unbeaten. The car offered is a tribute to that season. Like many of the Evo-spec rally cars in period, this car is believed to have started as a 16V Integrale. It has been updated to Evo-spec with wider flares. The car shows wear and scars from many racing outings in the Italian-Europeans championship. A factory plastic fuel tank beneath the rear seat area has been replaced with a fuel cell located in the trunk area. Wheels on the car are Speedline replicas in aluminum measuring 17″x8″. The interior features Sparco racing seats with Auriol/Lancia/Martini embroidery, Sabelt harnesses, intercom, timing equipment, and an extensive roll cage. Like the engine bay. the interior is painted silver. The turbocharged 4-cylinder engine displaces 1995 cc (bore: 84mm & stroke: 90mm) and puts out approximately 300 horsepower. It features Weber IAW integrated ignition with one coil per cylinder and electronic fuel injection. The car has been serviced regularly and routinely driven by the seller to keep mechanical systems in running condition. Motul racing oil was used and Castrol brake fluids have been used exclusively. Belts were changes in 2017. The AWD system features variable load transfer for different courses and surface conditions. The transmission currently fitted is from Brena Racing. A more sophisticated R70/Iaw70 gearbox is available to the winning bidder for purchase separately. Spares include: OZ Alloy wheels with tires OZ Front brake fans SIEM 4-Lamp hood pod for night stages Spare hood Spare tailgate Spare Door panels Tail lamps Trip Master Brake Rotors Hose Kits Michelin Soft Compound tires Racing Jak Stands modified for the car Coil spring set Chipped CPU 3 Steering wheels A rare document from ABARTH showing how many of the Group A cars were converted from 8v and 16v units is visible in the gallery below.
