This 1991 Lamborghini Diablo is a European-market example that was reportedly sold new in Belgium and was acquired by the seller approximately 10 years ago. It was refurbished by Sabato Sportcars of Wuppertal, Germany, in 2019. Power comes from a mid-mounted 5.7-liter DOHC V12 paired with a five-speed manual transmission, and features include a limited-slip differential, tan leather upholstery, pop-up headlights, 17″ OZ Racing wheels, air conditioning, a gated shifter, and a Sony CD player. This Diablo is now offered in Leipzig, Germany, with refurbishment photos and records, and a German registration in the seller’s name. The Marcello Gandini-designed Diablo debuted in January 1990 and featured composite and aluminum bodywork. This example was repainted red in 2019 and features a quad-exit exhaust, side scoops, a vented engine cover, fog lights, and pop-up headlights, the latter of which can be seen raised in the gallery. The windshield was replaced in 2019. The multi-piece 17″ OZ Racing wheels wear Lamborghini center caps and are mounted with 245/40 front and 335/35 rear Pirelli P Zero Asimmetrico tires. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel ATE disc brakes that were serviced in 2019. The cabin features fixed-back bucket seats upholstered in tan leather along with a matching lower dashboard, door panels, and carpets. A contrasting black dash pad is fitted, and additional equipment includes air conditioning, a VDO clock, a gated shifter, and a Sony CD player. The two-tone black and tan leather steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a 340-km/h speedometer, a 9k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The six-digit odometer shows 27k kilometers (~17k miles), approximately 2k kilometers of which were added under current ownership. The 5.7-liter V12 features an aluminum block and cylinder heads as well as 48 valves and dual overhead camshafts for each cylinder bank. The engine produced 485 horsepower and 428 lb-ft of torque when new. Various seals and gaskets were replaced during the 2019 work along with the clutch, pressure plate, distributor cap and rotor, and spark plugs. A replacement MAP sensor was installed in 2022 along with the addition of fresh fluids. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Photos taken during the refurbishment can be seen in the gallery. A collection of invoices from the refurbishment totaling over €99k are also viewable in the gallery.
