This 1993 BMW M5 Touring is one of approximately 891 examples produced and spent time in Norway before it was imported to the US in 2021 and subsequently acquired by the seller in Texas in November of the same year. It is finished in Laguna Green over black leather and is powered by a 3.8-liter S38B38 inline-six paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes the Nürburgring Package, staggered-width 17” M-System II wheels with “throwing star” covers, an aftermarket Simons sport exhaust system, Shadowline trim, a dual-pane sunroof, a factory stereo, and air conditioning. Service under current ownership reportedly included a valve adjustment, an oil change, and the replacement of the spark plugs and air filter. This E34 M5 Touring shows 245k kilometers (~152k miles) and is offered with five keys, manufacturer’s literature, Norwegian-language service documents, and a clean Texas title in the seller’s name. The car is finished in Laguna Green and features a dual-pane sunroof and Shadowline trim as well as an M5-specific front air dam, rear valance, and rocker panels. The seller notes that the front fenders appear to have been repainted under previous ownership and a color mismatch is visible. Additional photos of the exterior are provided in the gallery below. Factory 17” M-System II wheels with “throwing star” covers are mounted with Goodyear Eagle F1 tires that measure 235/45 up front and 255/40 out back. The car was ordered with the Nürburgring Package which consisted of ZF Servotronic speed-sensitive steering, a thicker rear sway bar, and a control switch for Adaptive M Suspension which allowed the EDC shocks to be locked in their firmest position. The seller notes that the factory spare wheel is included in the sale, but is not currently mounted with a tire. The cabin is trimmed in black leather with a matching dashboard, carpets, and door panels. Amenities include a factory stereo with a Hifi loudspeaker system, air conditioning, and power windows. Instrumentation includes a 300-km/h speedometer, a tachometer with a 7k-rpm redline, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil temperature, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 245k kilometers (~152k miles), approximately 1k kilometers of which were added under current ownership. The 3.8-liter S38 inline-six was exclusive to European-market M5 models and featured Bosch Motronic 3.3 engine management and a 10.5:1 compression ratio with a factory-rated output of 340 horsepower. An aftermarket Simons sport exhaust system was reportedly installed under previous ownership. Service in preparation for the sale is said to have included an oil change, a valve adjustment, and a throttle adjustment as well as replacement of the spark plugs, air filter, and the vacuum hoses under the intake manifold. The seller notes that cracks are present in the cover next to the ECU box in the engine bay. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Manufacturer’s literature is included in the sale along with two master keys, three workshop keys, and Norwegian-language inspection and service documents. The seller states that a factory tool kit is included in the sale. Filed under: 5 series, 5-series, e34, e34 m5
