This 1994 BMW 530i Touring was acquired by the seller in October 2019, and it was subsequently modified with the installation of a 4.4-liter M62 V8, a Getrag 420G six-speed manual transmission, and a limited-slip differential. The car is finished in Sterling Silver over Silver Grey leather upholstery, and additional modifications include a “narrow nose” grille conversion, M-Tech bumpers, Koni shocks paired with Vogtland springs, 17″ Hartge wheels, front sport seats, tinted windows, and fuel system and engine control system modifications to accompany the engine swap. This modified E34 Touring is now offered with a build summary, a Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name. The exterior has been refinished in Sterling Silver (244) and features a double-sliding sunroof, integrated fog lights, and flush roof rails. The Carfax report lists an accident with another motor vehicle in December 2020 that resulted in “minor damage” to the front of the car. Work under present ownership included replacement of the windshield and installation of a narrow-style kidney grille and hood along with body-color side sills and M-Tech-style front and rear bumpers. Close-up photos of the body and paint can be viewed in the gallery below. Refinished 17″ Hartge wheels are mounted with 245/45 Michelin Pilot Sport tires. Suspension and brake refurbishment and modifications included: Replacement front and rear disc brakes Koni Sport struts Vogtland springs E31-specification lower control arms Moosehead Engineering rear strut mounts and lower control arm bushings Replacement BMW upper control arms Powerflex subframe bushings Sport seats are fitted in the front of the cabin, and the seat upholstery has been retrimmed in Silver Grey leather. Further additions include a suede headliner, an M5-style shifter surround, and a Racing Dynamics steering wheel and shift knob. A Kenwood stereo is housed in the center stack, and the heater core, heater valve, and passenger-side rear hatch wiring harness were replaced under current ownership. Instrumentation consists of a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The digital odometer displays 188k miles, approximately 32k of which have been added by the seller. The oil level sensor is disconnected, the rear speakers are inoperative, and the sport seat filler tabs are absent according to the seller. A 4.4-liter M62TUB44 V8 was reportedly sourced from an E38 7-Series model. A Kassel Performance tuned ECU is installed, and a DUDMD tuned ECU paired with a 4″ intake and MAF setup will accompany the car. The car is equipped with a limited-slip differential sourced from an E32 model and featuring 3.15:1 gearing. The Carfax report notes the aforementioned 2020 accident and lists ownership history in California. An open recall is noted from 1998, and an August 2021 entry states the car was designated as a California gross polluter. Filed under: 5 series, 5-series, e34
