1994 Land ver Defender 90 

constructed by Defender at our shop in , . The design of this build was inspired by the Land ver Works p’s 70th Anniversary V8 builds of 2 red Defender 90 donor with a clean title. A galvanized chassis was ordered from land with the correct vin stamp. Axles were stripped, blasted and powder coated, then rebuilt. The chassis was mounted to the axles on Old Emu shocks and springs with blasted and powder coated front & rear arms and ‘polybush orange’ bushings. Disc brakes all around behind 18” diamond cut sawtooth wheels on 33” BF KO2s.

With the chassis rolling, the new chassis loom was run through, then the top-end rebuilt 300tdi was installed mated to a new hcroft ZF4hp22 automatic transmission and the original transfer case. New driveshafts were made to measure and bolted to the axles. Upgraded TD5 brake boxes were installed with new booster, master and slave cylinder. neer 4×4 stainless steel flexible brake lines were run to the disc brakes.

An upgraded TD5 plastic fuel tank was also installed to replace the old steel design. ided stainless steel fuel lines were run in place of the old lines.

The galvanized left hand drive bulkhead was primed and painted before being bolted to the chassis. Once installed, the main loom was run, along with new steering gear. Upgraded, heavy duty track rod and steering arms were installed with new joints. The left hand drive steering gearbox, steering column and all steering components are new.

The rear tub was replaced with a genuine Land ver tub, along with all doors, front wings and bonnet (hood). All cappings were also replaced. All panels and cappings were painted apart before being assembled to ensure complete coverage. All seals were replaced in the process with stainless steel nuts and bolts used throughout and aluminum rivets for aluminum panels.

Interior was custom made by cari in black leather with red stitching. ar window surrounds and headliner are new and wrapped in alcantra black. h exterior & interior door handles, as well as interior door pulls and latches have been upgraded to brushed aluminum.

The left hand drive dash was completely replaced using new components. switches were used for column switches. All interior lamps were upgraded to LED and every wire and relay replaced for new.
