This 2002 BMW 325i Touring has been fitted with a 3.2-liter S54 inline-six and six-speed manual transmission sourced from a 2003 M3 that was acquired by the seller on BaT in May 2020, and the swap was reportedly completed by Kaiv of San Diego, California. The brakes, suspension, front and rear subframes, and interior components are also said to have been sourced from the donor M3, and additional modifications include an M3-style front bumper, Bilstein coilovers, 18″ Apex wheels, AKG rear subframe reinforcement, and a Supersprint exhaust system. The car is finished in white over a black interior and spent time in South Carolina, Oregon, and California prior to being acquired by the seller in 2020. The rod bearings, clutch and flywheel, CPV seal, and spark plugs were reportedly replaced and the VANOS system rebuilt in August 2020. This E46 Touring is offered with service records, a Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name. The car is finished in white and was reportedly repainted following an accident that resulted in replacement of the passenger-side fender, front bumper, and headlight. Equipment includes roof rails, a sunroof, bright kidney grills, fog lights, HID headlights, clear rear turn signal lenses, body-color side mirror caps, and black side moldings. The Carfax report indicates “minor damage” in December 2020 and March 2021. A paint correction service has been carried out during current ownership, photos of which can be seen in the gallery. Silver Apex ARC-8 18″ wheels are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires measuring 235/40 up front 255/35 in the rear. Brake and suspension components and the front and rear subframes were reportedly sourced from the E46 M3 donor car. Additional modifications include Bilstein PSS10 adjustable coilovers and an AKG rear subframe reinforcement kit. Originally trimmed in grey, the cabin has been swapped with black leather sport seats and a matching dash from the donor car, along with a matching rear bench, carpets, and door panels. Equipment includes power-adjustable front seats, a BMW stereo system with a CD changer, air conditioning, power windows and locks, and aluminum pedals. Service in 2020 included replacing the shift lever, front and rear bushings, arm, and selector rod. An M-specific leather-wrapped steering wheel frames gray instrumentation sourced from the M3 donor vehicle featuring a 185-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a variable redline and an inset oil temperature gauge, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The digital odometer shows 172k miles, around 1k of which were added by the seller. True mileage is unknown. The 3.2-liter S54 inline-six and six-speed manual transmission were sourced from a 2003 M3 with approximately 55k miles and installed in March 2021. The VANOS system has been rebuilt, WPC-treated rod bearings installed, and the constant-pressure valve seal and spark plugs replaced per the seller. Additional work carried out in 2020 consisted of replacing the valve cover gasket, fuel pump and filter, and motor mounts. A Supersprint exhaust has been fitted during current ownership. Service in 2020 included replacing the clutch and flywheel. Additional photos of the underbody are provided in the gallery. The Carfax report shows the aforementioned damage reports in December 2020 and March 2021 and lists vehicle history in South Carolina, Oregon, and California. Two open recalls regarding the front passenger and driver airbags are noted. A secondary vehicle history report has been provided by the seller, and is presented in the gallery.
