The MINI S MC40 made its debut at the to Show on February 4, 2004. Production of this 6 speed manual 1.6 liter 4 cylinder supercharged model, commemorating the 40th anniversary of the Mini’s victory at the 1964 e Carlo Rally, was limited to 1,000 individually numbered cars, all for the US market. This car is #861, the famous ers TV show car from the Discovery Channel that was featured on the show during season 16.

- The MC40 underwent a comprehensive 100,000 mile service at 95,000 miles on the TV show that included replacing the headliner, rebuilding the supercharger, replacing the headlamps with stock lamps, replacing the shocks, springs, struts, tires, battery, replacing the rally decals, water pump, thermostat, fuel filter, spark plugs, wires intake manifolds, ignition coils, Milltek Sport cat back exhaust, replacing all fluids, seals new O2 or, gaskets, serpentine belt, ignition coils, brand new clutch and flywheel.
- The current owner increased the horsepower to 214 at the front wheels through SoCal based Mini specialist tuner, Performance, with the addition of an upgraded exhaust header, larger Cam, upgraded fuel injectors and reprogramed ECU.
- Car has its original tool kit, jack, owners manual, books, recent service records, plus the permit application from TV production company for filming the TV episode at the LA River.
