This 2005 Chevrolet SSR is powered by a Magnuson-supercharged 6.0-liter V8 mated to a six-speed manual transmission, with modifications consisting of Edelbrock cylinder heads and ARP cylinder head studs along with aftermarket exhaust and suspension components. The truck is finished in Redline Red over Ebony leather upholstery and additional equipment includes a limited-slip differential, a power-folding hardtop, a hardshell tonneau cover, heated power-adjustable bucket seats, remote keyless entry, cruise control, and air conditioning. The truck was acquired by the seller in a November 2022 BaT auction and subsequent service included replacing the coolant expansion tank, radiator, water pump, electric fan, intake manifold gasket, head gaskets, valve cover gaskets, and the tires. This SSR has 12k miles and is now offered with assorted manuals, SSR literature, partial service records, the removed factory stereo, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name. The SSR was built on a modified version of the GMT360 platform shared with the contemporary TrailBlazer SUV, and its styling was inspired by the Chevrolet Advance Design family of trucks. This example is finished in Redline Red (70U) with a color-matched hardshell tonneau cover and a power-retractable hardtop. Additional features include flush-mounted halogen headlights bisected by a satin-finished chevron bar as well as heated power-operated side mirrors and integrated satin-finished running boards. There is touch-up paint on the roof panel and rear bumper cover, and the carbon-fiber front air dam was removed. Chrome-finished 19″ and 20″ wheels are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires measuring 255/45 up front and 295/40 out back that were installed in November 2022. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel ventilated disc brakes. The SSR was equipped from the factory with a ZQ8 sport suspension featuring an independent front and five-link solid-axle rear setup with front and rear stabilizer bars, and aftermarket suspension components were reportedly installed under prior ownership. Work carried out in March 2023 consisted of a brake fluid flush and retorquing the rear track bar. The heated power-adjustable high-back bucket seats are upholstered in Ebony leather accompanied by body-color accents and satin chrome trim on the dash, center console, and door panels. Appointments include a color-keyed waterfall console as well as air conditioning, cruise control, a Bose sound system, and a Pioneer head unit with navigation. The clutch pedal switch sensor was replaced in April 2023. The leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel frames SSR-branded instrumentation including a 140-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. Auxiliary gauges for voltage, torque, and outside temperature are mounted below the center console. The digital odometer shows 12k miles, approximately 2,500 of which were added under current ownership. The dashboard stepper motors were replaced in 2022. The 6.0-liter LS2 V8 was fitted with a Magnuson supercharger and power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec T56 six-speed manual transmission and a Torsen limited-slip differential. Long-tube headers with high-flow catalytic converters were fitted under prior ownership. The Edelbrock cylinder heads were machined in December 2022, and additional work carried out from 2022-2023 included the installation of the following components: ARP cylinder head studs Coolant expansion tank Electric fan Intake manifold gasket Head gaskets Valve cover gaskets Oil pressure sensor Radiator Spark plug non-foulers, installed between O2 sensors and tailpipes Valley pan gasket Valve cover gasket Water pump The dyno graph shown above indicates peak output of 471 horsepower and 459 lbs-ft of torque on January 24, 2023. The Carfax report shows no accidents or damage and displays history in Texas, Ohio, and California. The car most recently passed a California emissions test in November 2022, however, various aftermarket engine components installed are not CARB-compliant.
