This 2009 Alfa Romeo 8C is one of a planned 500 Spiders built between 2008 and 2010 and one of approximately 35 examples designated for the US market. The car is powered by a 4.7-liter F136 V8 mated to a six-speed semi-automatic transaxle with a limited-slip differential, and it is finished in Rosso Alfa over black leather upholstery. Equipment includes cloverleaf-style 20” alloy wheels, ceramic-composite brakes, bi-xenon headlights, a power-operated black soft top, and a carbon-fiber windshield frame along with carbon-fiber sport seats, a Becker CD stereo, and dual-zone automatic climate control. The car was previously offered on BaT in March 2022 and December 2022, and was acquired by the selling dealer in 2023. Now with 2,200 miles, this 8C Spider is offered with manufacturer’s literature, a trickle charger, tools, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Florida title. Designed by Wolfgang Egger at Centro Stile Alfa Romeo, the production 8C Competizione was introduced at the 2006 Paris Motor Show. It revived the 8C name originally used for Alfa Romeo’s eight-cylinder racing cars of the 1930s and featured styling cues from the company’s post-war sporting cars across its carbon-fiber body panels, which are supported by a steel space frame. The 8C Spider was unveiled at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show. This example is finished in Rosso Alfa and features a power-operated black soft top, bi-xenon headlights, fog lights, fender vents, a carbon-fiber windshield frame, and quad exhaust outlets. The front bumper was repaired and refinished in 2024, at which time the carbon-fiber trim and hood latch were also repaired. The cloverleaf-style 20” alloy wheels are mounted with 245/35 front and 285/35 rear Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. Stopping power is provided by black Alfa Romeo–branded Brembo calipers over cross-drilled carbon-ceramic rotors at all four corners. The cockpit features carbon-fiber seats trimmed in black leather with red stitching and basketweave accents, which extend to the matching door panels. The dashboard and center console feature brushed aluminum and carbon-fiber trim, and additional appointments include dual-zone climate control, a Becker CD stereo, and dual roll hoops. The sticky buttons were refinished in March 2024. The leather-wrapped steering wheel features aluminum spokes ahead of paddle shifters, and the center console wears a Limited Edition badge. Instrumentation consists of a tachometer with a 7,500-rpm redline accompanied by a 210-mph speedometer and digital readouts for oil temperature, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 2,200 miles. Designed by Ferrari and Maserati, the 4.7-liter F136 YC V8 featured a 90° bank angle and a cross-plane crankshaft. It produced 444 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and 354 lb-ft of torque at 4,750 rpm when new. The head cover, spark plug, and solenoid gaskets were replaced along with the battery in preparation for the sale. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed semi-automatic transaxle that can be operated in five different modes of automatic or paddle-controlled shifting. A limited-slip differential was standard. The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage.
