This privately imported, right-hand-drive 1996 Land ver Defender 110 300TDi 4×4 is said by the seller to wear a recent repaint. The Defender 110, which is the long-wheelbase, nine-passenger version of this iconic British SUV, was offered for just one year in the U.S., 1993, and just 510 were imported. wever, U.S. models did not offer the high-torque turbodiesel engine and five-speed manual transmission, as used in the model offered here. The vehicle shows some cosmetic blemishes here and there, and some undercarriage surface rust, but is otherwise reported to be in good running condition. The owner says he is selling this vehicle now to buy something else.

The Land ver 300Tdi turbodiesel 2.5-liter OHV inline-four was rated at 111 horsepower at 4,000 rpm and 195 lb-ft. of peak torque at 1,800 rpm by the manufacturer when new. The seller believes the engine to be original and does not state if the mileage shown is believed accurate. He says the diesel’s cold start is “fine” and affirms there are no powertrain leaks or weeps. The five-speed manual transmission is said to shift properly. The seller reports no operational issues for the Defender’s full-time four-wheel drive, which uses a dual-range transfer case.

The vehicle has been modified with the addition of an external roll cage. The seller states that the Defender was recently painted in navy blue, and that the finish is in good condition. “There are small scratches here and there but nothing major, and all doors open and close properly with no leaks,” he says. The hood has diamond plate trim, which has been painted. The glass and windows are described as in good shape, as are the seals. Per the seller and photos, there is some rust seen on the undercarriage and some of the driveline and suspension components.

The seller indicates new carpeting and notes there are a couple of knobs missing on the dash. He describes the headliner as “good, but a little dirty.” The black vinyl seats appear to be in good condition. There do not appear to be seatbelts for the third-row, side-facing jump seats. The seller states that the heat and A/C work and the gauges function properly. He notes that the clock is missing the glass lens. The neer AM/FM USB stereo head unit is said to work.

The seller says that the Defender’s suspension service history is unknown, but he believes the bushings and shocks are in good shape with no cracks or leaks. The 235/85R16 BF All-Terrain T/A K0 tires appear to show DOT date codes from 2008. The spare tire is a different brand. The original five-spoke factory wheels, finished in black instead of silver, show some paint chipping in places, though the seller notes there are no issues with vibration. The power-assisted steering has no leaks, per the seller, and works well with some play in the wheel. The four-wheel disc brakes function as designed, he states.

The seller states that this vehicle will be sold on a clean ska title in his name, which will be provided upon satisfaction of the lien held by the financing bank. (The vehicle is in Connecticut.) Wearing a recent repaint, this right-hand-drive 1996 Land ver Defender 110 300TDi 4×4 is presented as a strong-running machine with room for nine and an appetite for adventure.
