This is a complete restoration of a 1965 F100-first year of twin I-beam front suspension and the first year of the 300C.I. IL6. It would be very difficult to find a better representation of what a factory fresh 1965 truck offered outside of a museum. It’s really that nice. Initially, vehicle was prepped and painted its factory Caribbean quoise color (Code B) both inside and out. There was minor rust where the front fender bolts to the front radiator mount panel (2-3” section inside the wheel well). That area was chemically arrested and sealed. Upon inspection you will not find any other signs of rust, bad floor pans, rust in the bottom of doors, etc.. It doesn’t exist. Vehicle was painted around 3 years ago. No bubbles or imperfections have surfaced because there aren’t any. Interior trim, lower door panels, front bumper, and front grill were painted . derneath, the vehicle was wire wheeled on both the frame, front end, and under cab and bed. Then, underside was sprayed with a rubberized undercoating. I invite you to beat on anything underneath with a rubber hammer. Bring your magnet or paint thickness gauge and check for bondo. kes were completely replaced from the master cylinder down. New steel and flexible brakes lines, new wheel cylinders, new spring kits, and new brake shoes were installed. New brake drums were replaced on three wheels and the other front drum was turned. cking plates were cleaned and wire wheeled and sprayed with black paint as were brake drums. While front wheels were off, bearings were inspected, packed with a quality High Temp grease, and new front wheel seals were installed. ke fluid has been completely flushed. All (3) new parking brake cables were installed. New parking brake adjustors and spring were installed. A new tie rod end was installed. All frontend components, drive shaft carrier bearing, and U joints were inspected and greased. and All (4) shocks were replaced with Gabriel Ultra truck shocks. A new factory rear bumper has been painted and installed with new brackets and hardware. Headlight buckets were wire wheeled and restored. The headlamp adjustors and screws were replaced. Fluids in differential and transmission were replaced. A new boot was installed on the transmission for the clutch rod. smission is the four-speed on the floor NP-435 (New Process) with unsynchronized Granny first gear and Symmetrical rfly pattern. 1st gear ratio is 6.69 and 4th gear ratio is 1:1. It has the 60-2 limited slip differential with 3.54 gears. This is the gas saver gearing. New Michelin Defender tires have been purchased from Discount tire with warranty, mounted, and balanced. The muffler and exhaust are new. Radiator was vatted and rodded and new e coolant installed. Radiator was repainted. All but one coolant line was replaced. The one that wasn’t appeared to have been recently replaced. 300 C.I. factory IL6 motor showed little wear and had 150-155 compression on all cylinders. Carburetor was vatted and rebuilt with a quality carb kit. New air filter element was installed. Distributor was vatted and rebuilt. New points, plugs, plug wires, rotor, cap, and condenser were installed. Motor oil was changed with a large dose of Marvel Mystery oil added. Truck was driven 100 miles and oil and filter were changed with Classic car oil with added zinc and phosphorous to protect the flat tappets. New rubber was installed around the front and rear windows. New felt was installed on the door roll up windows. New rubber was not installed on the vent windows, but I have two new seals that go with the truck. New rubber was installed on the doors. New hardware was installed on the right-side vent window. A new troSound ton M2A, AM/FM, Bluetooth radio has been installed. ntage screen overlays are included. The original AM factory radio is functional and will be included with the sale. New speakers were installed under the seat. Lighter housing, element, and knob were replaced. The seat was professionally recovered. Heater and defrost work as they should. Fatmat sound dampener was installed on the floor and new factory rubber mat was installed. New steering wheel has been painted and installed with new horn ring and interior horn components. All new factory decals in engine compartment have been placed in their correct locations. ttery is not new but recently replaced. New wiper switch has been installed. A quality bed cover was installed. A new gas tank cap was installed. Truck runs awesome and doesn’t smoke. Mechanical choke works as it should. The huge 2-part Factory vice manuals and the glove box owner’s manual is included with the sale. A soft vehicle cover from LMC truck is also included with the sale. The truck steers easily, goes down the road straight, and doesn’t pull. ou can release the steering wheel and it tracks straight down the road. It shifts easily, engine revs well, is quiet, and has plenty of power. No rattles-truck is tight. I have approximately $29,000 invested. y of these pictures are older. I need to go and get it out of the garage and shoot some more pictures that capture the new rear bumper and the factory decals that have been installed in the engine compartment. It won a trophy at last year’s car show, but not THE trophy. sily a daily driver or a good investment
