This 1935 Plymouth Deluxe sedan was refurbished and modified under current ownership with work including stretching and boxing the frame, fabricating a woodie-style wagon body, reupholstery of the interior in burgundy cloth, and replacing the firewall, running board extensions, and floors. Additional work consisted of installing a rebuilt 5.7L LT1 V8, a 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission, a Ford 8″ rear axle, Mustang II-style suspension components, front disc brakes, a power steering system, a polyethylene fuel tank, 15″ AWC wheels, power windows, electric door solenoids, a tilt steering column, and Dakota digital gauges. This Plymouth wagon was previously listed on BaT in January 2023 and is now offered again by the seller on behalf of the owner in Canada with British Columbia registration. The wagon body was built using Ash structural members and bamboo panels, while the roof is covered in tan Mercedes-style cloth upholstery. Metalwork consisted of replacing the firewall, running board extensions, and floor. The fenders and forward sections are finished in burgundy and exterior features include dual exhaust outlets, a fender-mounted spare, a third brake light, dual mirrors, a Newport Engineering dual windshield wiper system, ventilated hood panels, and a body-colored windshield visor. There is a blemish on the right-front fender, and the Bear Claw power-operated door poppers are occasionally sticky. AWC 15″ wheels are mounted with older 235/60 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. The front suspension was fitted with Mustang II-style components including a replacement cross member and tubular control arms. Braking is handled by cross-drilled discs up front, and a rack-and-pinion power-assisted steering has been installed. The interior features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in burgundy cloth and vinyl along with red carpets and an ash wood headliner and door panels. Additional equipment consists of power windows, a heater, dome and footwell lighting, a Kenwood stereo, and JVC speakers. A programmable ECU is mounted underneath the front passenger seat. The Grant banjo-style steering wheel is mounted to a tilting column and frames Dakota Digital VHX gauges including a 160-mph speedometer and an 8k-rpm tachometer. The digital odometer shows 11 miles, with total mileage unknown. The 5.7-liter LT1 V8 and 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission were reportedly sourced from a 1995 Chevrolet Caprice and are said to have been rebuilt prior to being installed. Features include a re-cored radiator with an electric fan as well as chrome brake and dual vacuum boosters, an aftermarket air intake, and tubular headers. Power is routed to the rear wheels through a rebuilt Ford 8″ rear axle and a differential with a 3.50:1 gear ratio. The frame was boxed and stretched eight inches giving the car a total wheelbase of 121″. Additional refurbishment work included applying POR-15 rust inhibitor and installing a polyethylene fuel tank. The car does not have a title, as it is registered in a province that does not issue titles for vehicles. It is being sold on its registration, which lists the VIN as 9328214 as shown above.
