This custom woodie wagon was built approximately 30 years ago by Milestones Rodding of Boulder, Colorado and features a Roadster Shop Stage III Superide frame along with a modified Ford cowl that has been fitted with two-door wood station wagon bodywork and an aftermarket steel hood, side panels, and fenders finished in metallic dark red. Power is from a 350ci Chevrolet V8 mated with a Turbo-Hydramatic three-speed automatic transmission and Ford 9” rear end. Additional equipment includes Wilwood front disc brakes, independent front suspension, burgundy leather Recaro bucket seats, a Vintage Air A/C system, electric windows, and a Pioneer CD stereo. The car was featured in the July 1994 issue of Rod & Custom magazine and was reportedly acquired by the current owner around 20 years ago. This custom woodie is now being offered on consignment by the selling dealer in Mansfield, Texas with a clean Montana title in the name of the owner’s LLC, listing the vehicle as a 1933 Ford. The Ford cowl received a 4” roof chop during the build and was fitted with custom two-door wagon bodywork constructed of maple and birch wood by Custom Contours of Penrose, Colorado. The car was painted a Chevrolet shade of Burnt Red Metallic and features a Rootlieb hood, a DF Metalworks grille shell, and aftermarket steel fenders and running boards that have been welded together. Additional equipment includes a red fabric roof, rear-hinged front doors, a windshield visor, tinted windows, and chrome side-view mirrors. Budnik wheels measure 14” up front and 15” out back and are mounted with older Michelin tires. Braking is through Wilwood front calipers with 11″ rotors and Ford-spec rear drums. The car rides on independent front suspension with four-wheel coilovers and triangulated four-bar rear suspension. A steering box from a Chrysler K-car has been installed. The cabin houses four Recaro bucket seats trimmed in burgundy leather. Dark red carpets line the floors, and amenities include power windows, a Vintage Air A/C system, Gennie shifter, and a Pioneer CD stereo wired to a disc changer and speakers housed in a rear-mounted custom wood enclosure. Rocker switches and other vehicle function controls are housed in the glovebox. A leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel mounted to an Ididit column sits ahead of a Classic Instruments 120-mph speedometer surrounded by auxiliary displays. The five-digit odometer shows approximately 7k miles, around 500 of which have been added during current ownership. The 350ci Chevrolet V8 is equipped with a Weiand intake manifold, an Edelbrock 750-cfm carburetor, HEI ignition, headers, and a dual exhaust system with Turbo mufflers. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a Turbo-Hydramatic three-speed automatic transmission fitted with a B&M torque converter and a Ford 9” rear end housing a differential with 3.70:1 gearing. The car is fitted with a Roadster Shop Stage III Superide frame and custom steel floor pan. Abrasions on the underside are present, and additional photos are provided in the gallery below.
